    Dear viewer,
There was a huge volume of emails in response to the revamp and we obviously couldn’t publish all of them. We tried to reflect the full spectrum of opinion. Sorry you didn’t make the grade. Head of English section

Dear folks at EN, congrats for the new look and feel of the whole EN platform both off and on-line. Just a short question/request.As Im a savvy podcast user – I travel a lot – I was thinking how great it would be if youd make available a summary podcast with all the news of the day. I know that currently you have the No Comment pod, but are you considering putting out a news podcast?Best regards!

The euronews Weather, just before the hour, is the best there is…. so why spoil it? I know the detail remains the same BUT, the music is dreadful – bring back the old music – and who on earth decided that the land should be blue? Cant we have land that looks just a little more like land, and not the sea?

Some good. some bad.g:I like the new minutes at the bottom of the screen, a very clever way to accommodate all the time zone.b:Your weather report was the best of all the other channels, now an insipid shade of pale.b: We would stop any activity when the beat of the no comment came in. and watch the few seconds clips.

To be honest, I really miss the former visual design of euronews. To me, the new one is sterile and just not appealing at all. I never believed something like that can really affect one, but I find myself watching less and less euronews. For a moment, I thought of calling it ugly. Period., but I guess that would have just been insulting to the authors of the new design, so I decided to go with sterile. It does not change my feelings, though…

Dear Channel,I started to watch your channel three years ago, and it was pure pleasure for me. It become to be the most watched channel in my home, at my working place and and as I know, for many of my friends and staff too. Thank you for that nice time!Unfortunately, I am forced now to share with you not my appreciation, but deep disappointment of your new changes. I like the modern progress, but I miss the old gentle format of euronews, with more “warmer” design and colours, and even the international watch section in the left side of the screen.I understand that the changes are necessary for the progress and that this is your concept, but herewith, I just want to share with you and to express my discomfort and disenchantment of the new screen design .Thank you for your understanding,Sincerely yoursRuben Lazarev, 27 ageBookshops promotions managerBulgaria, Sofia.

Hello to everyone in euronews!I think it was high time you revamped the website and the id of euronews.it is much better than before. However I have some more remarks:- i think you should launch the website in many more european languages. it will be more convenient and approachable for people in different countries.- you should act more as a news channel not a documentary one, meaning that u have to put more news on the website, more frequently updated and more direct to people and the news in Europe see CNN or other state run broadcastes websites. nos.nl or ert.gr- focus more on european news, more often we have news about outside Europe and less about Europe yet there are always news not covered from European countries. This is my feedback… Still, great job overall and keep up the god better work!RegardsPavlos from Athens GREECE

We used to enjoy having your station on TVs thooughout our office. But in just a very short time, everyone has voiced a negative opinion at the new format of your TV broadcast. Numerous requests have been voiced to switch to another station, which we have now done. Personally, and I think I speak on behalf of the majority here, I will miss the original euronews and always wonder what was going through the minds of the senior staff that convinced them that this change was for the better. Reading through many of the comments posted at your site, it seems our opinion is a popular opinion and we can only hope that euronews will respond to their viewers by reversing what clearly seems to be a mistake.Stuart PlantPresident

Dear viewer A revamp of both our on-air and on-line output was long overdue as the ‘look’ no longer reflected current broadcast industry standards, nor euronews’ branding and aims. euronews has a reputation for impartial and balanced reporting, airing news not coloured by comment, opinion or nationalistic interests. Market research and feedback from viewers informs us that our credibility in this regard is boosted by the fact we do not have presenters. It is our view that the new image further enhances this perception of euronews. We offer a calm and sober voice in comparison to others in the realm of international news broadcasting. The new look seeks to capitalise on those aspects of the euronews output that have made it the market leader in Europe. Makeovers often draw more negative reaction than positive because those who dislike the changes feel more motivated to write. It doesn’t necessarily reflect the greater body of opinion. We would urge viewers critical of the new look to give it more time. That is not to say we regard it as perfect. We welcome your views and are reflecting on all the points raised. We would like to thank all of you who have commented. Head of English section.

I really expected more from the revamp of euronews. Im sure you’ve done your research but the circle motif is really boring…the circle with the image of the headlines is really awful. The colour of the maps is dull. Oh dear…When is the next revamp? I cant wait!

  10. 04.06.08 by frabul

It has become practically impossible for us to see euronews from today – because of the new format too fine market data, white wheather symbols on blue continents in blue oceans, etc.. I think a circle as information element is the less informative.
