I am a daily visitor to your web site, which, apart from its news content, is the best langauge learning resource I have come accross on the web.Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing difficulty running video news items on the revamped site? The site seems to have slowed down considerably since the revamp. Also, I preferred the layout which listed headlines and not just images, allowing us to make selection choices quicker. Now, I have to wait for the images to scroll through, as only the narrative relating to the currently displayed image is shown. I think you should restore the headline list.

As with the relaunch of any website, there are inevitable teething problems to be addressed. We have worked over the past week to dramatically speed up the delivery and responsiveness of the euronews website. We hope that this gives you a better user-experience. The “headline list” is still available on all pages and, in fact, lists more content than in the previous version of the site. All of the latest site content is, as you say, listed in the more visual format at the top of the page, but this only reflects the priority euronews gives to the “image” on air and online.

Congrats on the new format – fresh and light. A comment on the European weather segment on-the-hour two cities are spelled incorrectly – Ashgabat on scroll, not Achgabat and Kyiv not Kiev – this is the old Russian spelling versus the proper Ukrainian spelling. Havent seen the global weather segment on the half-hour, but it always had Irkutsk spelled wrong not Iakutsk. Hope that is helpful. Ciao from Moscow!PS – if you can make the font in the currencies/markets section a bit bigger it would be helful.

Dear euronews,First of all I would like to say that, I watch euronews almost every day, around 45 – 60 min, you are trying hard, doing great, thats obvious. I want to give feedback on 3 subjects about on air broadcast: I recognise that there are ads marked by too much repetition – both your own others. Secondly for No Comment section, sometimes just a basic information / explanation in a few words is definitely required as a subject, to understand whats going on where. Finally, as the one of the biggest and busiest international airports in Europe, I believe Istanbul Ataturk International Airport should also be reported in your Airport Weather forecast. Regards,Yigit.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am an American living in New York, and an avid euronews watcher, because it captures news in its true essence and is not biased unlike many news channels in the US. It really is a pleasure to watch this channel because it gives me insight on not only Europe but the world. I think the renovation is quite beautiful, it exudes a Zen and earthy feel. But if there was one thing I could change it would be on the site, first of all there is no search engine to surf through making it difficult to find informations with key words in mind. Second of all most news websites BBC, CNN, NBC tend to have a section dedicated to employment, listing jobs or vacanciesin euronews. But overall the website is very beautiful and easy to surf through. Thank You.

For what one viewer opinion is worth: the new design with the minimalist white and blue/grey colors is simply superb. I also see it as a the true image of a channel that does not noodle around facts but goes straight to the point – with class, in style.

I cant see that much difference. The business graphs are still useless as they dont have a scale. so it cannot be seen if the drop is 7 points or 7000. As you were going to have a revamp, why didnt you go the whole way and quote commodities in Euro as in euronews, as this is what the majority of your viewers use as currency
18.06.08
Dear viewer,
The dollar is the currency used in world trading in oil and commodities and it wouldn’t make sense to convert to euros in these cases. . We use the euro as the currency of reference in all other stories. Head of English section

Since one week the euronews website has been changed. But I really dont think that the new euronews website is better than before, it is more like the CNN style and has lost its own style and characters. I dont like the color and disign now. what even worse is that you cant find easily what you like. sometimes you want change sth. Unfortunately, not each change is successful.your sincerely, Gong

Hello euronews! I live in Ireland and have been following the coverage of the Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty by euronews, and I would like to complain about the incredible bias being given to the YES camp and the huge amount of inaccuracies the what is being reported to the rest of Europe. Soon after the result of the Irish referendum you broadcast interviews from only those in favour of the treaty and reported the NO vote was merely as a result of domestic issues and issues that had nothing to do with the treaty. Your latest report on the situation of the Lisbon Treaty has blamed euroscepticism for a NO vote in this weeks referendum, and this is completely false and is a complete insult to the intelligence of the Irish people who voted NO. The main reasons for people voting NO are related to the treaty itself, i.e that Ireland would lose a permanent commissioner, Irelands voting weight would be halved while that of Germanys is doubled, and the requirement for countries to increase their military capabilities. Many voted NO simply because they couldnt understand the treaty, which we all know was the aim of EU leaders in the first place. As an Irish citizen I want to make it clear that Irelands NO vote was not a vote against the Irish government, it was not an anti-EU vote, nor was it a vote based on euroscepticism or any other domestic issue. The Irish people voted down this treaty based on its merit, or its lack of as the case may be. I would ask that you review your reporting regarding the Irish vote on the Lisbon Treaty and give a more accurate account of why people voted NO, because so far you have been far too biassed in favour of the YES camp and Brussels, which is giving a false message out the rest of Europe on what Ireland actually thinks about the EU.

Dear viewer Throughout our coverage of the referendum we consisently highlighted the list of various concerns underlying the ‘No’ campaign. We also stressed that in general Ireland is very pro-Europe. Head of English section

Your new format for text makes it so pale – white on gray – as to be very difficult to read. It shouldnot be difficult or expensive to revamp, and an immediate change for the better will retain at leastone visitor to your site.

Well done Ireland, the only country allowed to make the peoples voice heard has spoken and sent a flea to the ear of the eurocrats of Brusells. Many of us were stopped by our politicians from allowing our views to be heard. Unfortunately the wrath of the banana straighteners will now descend upon you and a completely new treaty will emerge which will be the same as the one you rejected but with a new name. Good luck and may your cucumbers always be curly.
