An Australian jumbo jet has made an emergency landing after losing cabin pressure and plunging thousands of feet during a flight from Hong Kong to Melbourne. Passengers on the Qantas 747 said they heard a loud bang before the plane rapidly lost altitude. When it landed at Manila in the Philippines, the plane displayed a large hole in its fuselage.
All 346 passengers and 19 crew on board escaped safely, and Qantas keeps its proud record of never having lost a plane.
