Robots are now being developed that can “understand” human emotions. They can interact with their users, and express happiness and sadness, depending on the situation.
European researchers working on the Feelix Growing project hope that their caring robots will eventually be able to provide companionship for the elderly, monitor patients, and help autistic children.
